Playtest queue · before · during · after

Before

• Print deck (9-up sheet) and any table Reference cards.
• Write a falsifiable hypothesis — one thing that might break.
• Seat 2–4 players; no teacher-as-player unless noted.
• Timer optional; do not stop mid-trick unless safety.

During

• Do not teach mid-hand. Answer only what was asked.
• Separate said from did in your notes.
• Mark confusion that repeats across tables — not one-off mistakes.
• Photo of final score sheet optional; no faces required.

After

• One change only — the smallest fix that tests the hypothesis.
• File evaluation form or scorecard sheet.
• Export Backpack if you used the digital log at /runway (playtest queue).
